Christmas Picture Practice

As you can see, I've perfected my smile just in time for Christmas! I'm so excited to meet Santa - I hope he knows our new address! Grandma and Grandpa are coming from South Dakota, so we will have fun and make more cookies! -jm

I am really going to miss Nanny after my trip to Ruston for Thanksgiving. She makes the best food: crawfish ettouffe, sweet potatoes with brown sugar and almonds, butter beans and buttermilk pie. I ate my little heart out. I also was a complete ham the entire trip, making sure to make sure Nanny misses me! -jm

Bock, Bock!

Happy Halloween! I realize this is a bit late, but Mom, Dad, and I have been busy siezing the day, so I haven't had time to write. I really like this chicken costume, and don it frequently just to wear around the house. This is the day I discovered the magic of Tootsie-pops. My costume is ruined, but still wearable! -jm

Hiatus #2

I'm baaaack! Mom and Dad have been keeping me so busy lately that I haven't had any time to write. Well, I suppose it's the other way around. I can now get my hair in a legitimate ponytail, jump, say "up" and "down" and demand all sorts of different foods (and more of them). I can identify all of my body parts, most animals, and do all of the motions to "the wheels on the bus!" Can't wait for Halloween!

Birthday Tradition

Mom & Dad took me to Hamilton Pool yesterday for my 18 months birthday! I had fun digging in sand and swimming under the mini-waterfalls. It was really hot but that made the cool water feel really nice. I can't wait until we go back again! -jm

Little Picasso

Dad is my favorite. He brought home a big sheet of paper and let me draw all over it. It's difficult choosing the right colors to compose a piece, but it's art and it deserves special consideration! Personally, I like to compare the colors with my skin tone. -jm

Spoons? Who needs spoons?

Clearly, spoons are for chumps. I tried eating my spaghetti with the spoon, but it became more effective by hand, and even more effective when I just stuck my face in the bowl. Someone please tell Mom that tableware are over-rated. -jm

Springtime

Grandpa brought me this really pretty dress from Mexico, and I love to wear it with colorful bloomers and white sandals. It is the perfect outfit for springtime! -jm

Fishing Veteran

This week Grandpa and Dad took me fishing for the first time! I loved feeling the perch and their slimy scales. Sometimes they would splash me and that was really funny. We got to go out in the boat and I wore my lifejacket. Dad says I looked like a little linebacker...I don't know what that means. -jm
