It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like...

...Christmas, but not really. It was 70 degrees this weekend and we went for a train ride on the Zilker Zepher. If you're ever in Austin, I'll take you; it's lots of fun. This last weekend we got ready for Christmas at our house: the tree is decorated, the lights are up outside, and my stocking is hanging on the wall. Now I just have to get through Friday, and then it's almost time for Santa to come! Can't wait! -jm

Sea World

What more could a girl want? Sea World this last Saturday was awesome. No crowds, no waiting, no problems. We saw Sesame Street Christmas, the Sea Otters, Walrus, Sea Lions, Penguins, Alligators, Flamingos, and Shamu, played on the playground, and even went on the Log Ride! (Dad says he can't believe I went on the Log Ride - he's impressed.) When can we go back?

Check Out My Pumpkins!

We carved some awesome pumpkins for Halloween this year. Mom and Dad make really great faces, and I like to pull out the mushy stuff inside. Actually, I don't like it much at all because my fingers get sticky, but it's fun to watch. Yay for Halloween! -jm

Busy Summer

This summer has been really hot and really busy. I've been really busy, too; I went to South Dakota to see Great Grandpa, started a new school, and have been helping Daddy get our house ready for the new baby. I think we are only going to get busier, though, since Halloween is right around the corner and I don't have a costume yet!
Last night Daddy read me two books; usually I get more, but he insisted two was enough - especially since it was late. -jm

Big Girl

I'm growing so fast that I can't stop eating! This morning I had oatmeal, some banana, milk, and peanut-butter toast. Yum! (My socks are awesome.)

Josephine the Ham

"Say cheese," you say? No way! Silliness is the only way to go in front of the camera! Good morning! -jm

Fishies!

We went to the San Antonio zoo this weekend and saw lots of interesting animals, but my favorites were the fishies! It was mesmerizing to watch them in that aquamarine aquarium, and it was nice to go inside and cool off, too! When can we go back? -jm

Center of Attention

Grandma, you would have loved to see this! You know I love to be the center of attention, and this plaza fountain at the Triangle gave me an excuse to perform! I mean, I was having fun and everything, but so was everyone who was watching me! -jm

Who doesn't love Swedish playscapes?

After dinner, Dad & Mom have been taking me over to the Meuller Park to play on this great new playscape. I don't care that it's crowded: I just push everyone else out of the way... only if I know I can take them. Yay for slides! -jm

"Easer Eggies"

Easter Egg hunting at Nanny's house was fun. That Easter Bunny is tricky - he hid eggs all over: in trees, under leaves, in the flower beds, around the corner. There were so many eggs I couldn't fit them all in my basket! Why can't he come more often than once a year? -jm

Literacy Program

I've embarked on the task to be one of the first toddlers to have a literate dog. Jessy likes to read books with me on the weekends, especially in the mornings, and so far we've been able to get through colors and the alphabet. I'm not sure she's learned anything yet, but we'll keep practicing! (Don't you like my authoritative hat?) -jm

Weekend Warriors

Mom & Dad worked in the yard all weekend to set these neat stepping stones and build a box for fruit and vegetables. This week and next weekend they plan to build another box and lay down some sod. I hope Jessy (our dog) stays out of the planter boxes because I really want to have fresh peas and strawberries in a few months! -jm

Birthday! Birthday!

A couple weeks back was my 2nd Birthday. We celebrated all week, first with cupcakes and then with cookies, bread pudding, and more cupcakes. A bunch of people came over to my house on Saturday for some shrimp and red beans & rice. I ate a lot of food and got soooo many presents! I especially like the books, blocks, swimsuit, dresses, flip flops, doctor's kit, t-shirts, rocking chair, princess blanket, and flamingo! Thank you! -jm
