"Easer Eggies"

Easter Egg hunting at Nanny's house was fun. That Easter Bunny is tricky - he hid eggs all over: in trees, under leaves, in the flower beds, around the corner. There were so many eggs I couldn't fit them all in my basket! Why can't he come more often than once a year? -jm

Literacy Program

I've embarked on the task to be one of the first toddlers to have a literate dog. Jessy likes to read books with me on the weekends, especially in the mornings, and so far we've been able to get through colors and the alphabet. I'm not sure she's learned anything yet, but we'll keep practicing! (Don't you like my authoritative hat?) -jm

Weekend Warriors

Mom & Dad worked in the yard all weekend to set these neat stepping stones and build a box for fruit and vegetables. This week and next weekend they plan to build another box and lay down some sod. I hope Jessy (our dog) stays out of the planter boxes because I really want to have fresh peas and strawberries in a few months! -jm

Birthday! Birthday!

A couple weeks back was my 2nd Birthday. We celebrated all week, first with cupcakes and then with cookies, bread pudding, and more cupcakes. A bunch of people came over to my house on Saturday for some shrimp and red beans & rice. I ate a lot of food and got soooo many presents! I especially like the books, blocks, swimsuit, dresses, flip flops, doctor's kit, t-shirts, rocking chair, princess blanket, and flamingo! Thank you! -jm

Little Cowgirl

Daddy bought me this pink hat at Fiesta, our local super-mercado. I love to wear this thing, espeically Saturday mornings when I'm watching cartoons. Y'all should get one, too. Seriously! -jm

Christmas Picture Practice

As you can see, I've perfected my smile just in time for Christmas! I'm so excited to meet Santa - I hope he knows our new address! Grandma and Grandpa are coming from South Dakota, so we will have fun and make more cookies! -jm

Lou-eeze-ee-ana!

I am really going to miss Nanny after my trip to Ruston for Thanksgiving. She makes the best food: crawfish ettouffe, sweet potatoes with brown sugar and almonds, butter beans and buttermilk pie. I ate my little heart out. I also was a complete ham the entire trip, making sure to make sure Nanny misses me! -jm
