Ben & Me

Because Ben is a little baby, he needs lots of hugs and attention; I make sure to give him plenty of both. Sometimes we play together, sometimes I read him books, and sometimes I sing him songs. He also likes to watch movies with me and take baths with me. It is nice to have a little brother to entertain!

Bat Girl

Sometimes we make pretty sweet costumes at school. Last month, we were superheros, and I was Bat Girl. I can fly, climb walls, and shoot things with lazers in my wrists. Awesome! -jm

Teething

A couple months ago - when Ben was a little bit smaller - I thought it was only fair if we both got to chew on chilled teething rings. I have to share everything with Ben; he can certainly share with me! Mom thought it was funny and took these embarrasing pictures. Thanks, Mom. -jm

Sunday Morning Fun

On the weekends in the summer, we spend a lot of time indoors hiding from the heat. This weekend we colored, created play-doh animals, sorted through the toy-cars, and made banana muffins. Ben likes to participate, too, but he generally just puts things in his mouth. Good thing I keep an eye out for him so he doesn't eat the crayons! -jm

Hamilton Pool Weekend

This weekend we went to Hamilton Pool for the first time this year. Unlike last year, where we had already had about 40 days of 100+ temps, this year we hit 100 for the first time this past weekend. 100 degrees is still hot. We saw lots of neat things at Hamilton Pool: snakes, fossils, butterflies, stalactites, prickley pears and baby cyprus trees. Ben liked the water and splashed a lot; I also splashed a lot. It was a good Saturday. -jm

Bathtime

Ben & I took a bath last night with lots of bubbles and water. He's almost six months old now and likes to play and splash while we're getting clean. Silly Ben!

Ben got his first tooth this weekend, which means that he can start eating solids soon. Man, is he teething! -jm
